Votappa is a public polling and opinion platform that allows users to create, share and vote on polls across a wide range of topics. The app is operated by Votappa.

Information you provide directly:

• • Account details — name, email address, and password when you register
• • Profile information — optional display name or profile picture
• • Poll content — questions, answer options and images you submit when creating polls
• • Comments — any text you submit in response to polls

Information collected automatically:

• • Voting activity — which polls you have voted on and your selected option
• • Usage data — pages and features you interact with, time spent in the app
• • Device information — device type, operating system, app version
• • IP address and approximate location (country/region level only)

• • To operate the app — create and manage your account, display polls and results
• • To personalise your experience — show you relevant polls and communities
• • To generate AI insights — aggregate voting data is used to produce AI-generated analysis for each poll
• • To improve the platform — understand how users interact with features and fix issues
• • To communicate with you — send account-related notifications (e.g. password reset)
• • To ensure safety — detect and prevent abuse, spam or policy violations

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information in the following limited circumstances:

• • Service providers — trusted third-party providers who help operate the platform (e.g. cloud hosting, analytics). These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
• • AI processing — anonymised, aggregated voting data may be processed by AI services to generate poll insights. No personally identifiable information is included.

You can also download your data or delete your account directly within the Votappa app at any time via Settings → My Data & Account.

Votappa is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at stevejwitt@gmail.com and we will take steps to delete the information promptly.

The Votappa mobile app does not use traditional browser cookies. However, we may use similar technologies such as local storage and session tokens to:

• • Keep you logged in between sessions
• • Remember your preferences (e.g. dark mode setting)
• • Analyse app performance and usage patterns

You can clear app data at any time through your device settings, which will remove any locally stored information.

Votappa may integrate with or link to third-party services. These third parties have their own privacy policies, and we encourage you to read them. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

Third-party services we may use include:

• • Cloud infrastructure providers for hosting and data storage
• • Analytics tools to understand app usage (data is anonymised)

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of Votappa after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
